The Cummington website now has an automatic RSS feed. There should be an orange icon with a white dot in the lower left corner and two white curved lines radiating out from the dot (supposed to represent radio waves) somewhere in the top portion of your browser depending on which browser you are using. This is the standard icon for RSS. RSS stands for really simple syndication. This function allows users with an RSS reader to be notified when a new article is present on a particular website. Some newer browsers have the RSS reader built into them. When you click on the icon you will get a summary of the articles in the feed. If you go to the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, or any other news website you will see a similar feature that allows you to keep track of breaking stories.
The RSS feed is automatically built from all of the articles and minutes that have been posted to the website in the last 30 days.
Please note: this directory has not been updated since 2008. Our Phone Directory is now in place. Please check it out, review the information which pertains to you and if there needs to be corrections, please let us know. The phone directory is sortable by clicking on the button at the top of each column, so for instance you can sort the phone directory by street address, or first name.
It is a goal for our web site to have the minutes of various Boards, Committees and commissions posted on our web site. To that end the Select Board and others have been posting minutes of meetings on their respective web pages.

Speak to a Select Board member or to the Chair of the committee or commission in which you have interest. It is likely that you will have your name put on the election slate if you are serious about serving.
Also, unless the meeting is in Executive Session, all meetings are open, so start attending the meetings of the board or committe that you are interested in serving on to familiarize yourself with the issues that the board is dealing with and to get to know the people who are currently serving.
We want as many people as possible involved in town government. As Cummington is a small town, this is a town of volunteers helping each other.
Speak to a Select board member to identify any specific needs or concerns of the Town.
